Hi all,
See below for this year’s NYRIA workshop. I sadly don’t have money to send people. So, you will need to find your own if you want to go.

Subject: Application Open: 2026 NYRIA Workshop
Hi Sebastiaan,
I was wondering if you would be willing to advertise the 2026 NYRIA workshop to your department?
The NYRIA (Network of Young Researchers for Instrumentation in Astronomy) workshop gathers young professionals in ground-based optical and infrared astronomical instrumentation to present their research and strengthen the global network of instrument scientists. This year's workshop will be held at the University of Arizona from October 19-23, 2026.
The NYRIA 2026 workshop application is open and the application deadline is May 15th, 2026.
This workshop is a great opportunity for early career researchers (ie. Master's students, PhD students, senior postdocs, and staff) to showcase their work, network with peers, and develop collaborations with other participants from around the world. The workshop will include a series of talks from participants in addition to lectures from invited speakers and tours of local astronomical facilities. The $150 application fee includes the full program, five nights of accommodation, a workshop dinner and tea and coffee breaks.
Additional information about the program can be found on the NYRIA website or you can email us at nyria2026@gmail.com.
Best,
Josh
