I am very happy that you are interested in the PCS instrument for the ELT. Currently, the PCS R&D roadmap consortium has been kicked off. Two work packages are relevant for the broader exoplanet community. These are WP 1 – Top level science requirements and WP 7 – exoplanet yield and synthetic observations. We just had the first meeting for both work packages. Community input is crucial in these early stages as these will determine the actual capabilities of the instrument.

And, if you do, please contact the work package leader (Gael Chauvin) that you would like to join the effort. I will also present a lot of these logistical aspects at the Nova Network 2 meeting on Wednesday. Please come and talk with me if you have any questions.
