Hi all, It's important to make sure we are safely powering off the devices in the optics lab during the maintenance. In particular, power will be shut off for a short period on the following mornings: - July 24 in the BW3 wing; - July 28 in the BW4 and BM4 wings; - August 6 in the CM4 wing. To avoid any damage to the computer equipment, we will remotely shutdown the desktops in the affected wings before the outage. If you use a desktop computer in your office, we kindly request that you stop running any programs on that desktop at the end of the day before the outage in your wing and log out of your session. It is possible you have to turn on your computer again when you arrive in the office after the outage. Note that compute nodes and servers will keep running normally as they are located in another building. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards, Computerworkers
